Yo' man, some people just feel that if no one does leave the brass, sometimes cruel, remarks that point out the things/items of interest that they do, no one else will. Granted there are many people who take this idea and turn it into a bloody mindset, it happens. Some just do it because they're jealous of other's work, and they want to make it livin' home of Lucifer for the person on the receving end.
But, just take it as it is. Some people can't stress their ideas without being stronger on the harder side. Some are just like that, and some aren't. Though ranting won't solve it, does lead to figurin' out why people do it. In my personal opinion you can't ever be too nit-picky on how critcal a person's critics are. And true some people DO appear if they're tryin' to just belittle you and feel like crap, to those who do they very well need to quit wanting perfect.
But hey, would you want everyone sugar-coating it? Real life we never get anything handed to us on the silver platter. Of course we'd like people to be nice, and not point out our imperfections; in honesty we all have them and we have no rights to preach about other's and their faults. But I realize that when you ask this, you want to know why people do this and other's on why, if they do or do not, review things as they do. And I'm probably saying personally enough to make it sound like a broken record player, but personally just do what you can.
Take the feed-back, and listen to other's. When you start tryin' to appeal to the mass of crowds out there that is know as the internet, that is when people will start givin' you the hard dish. Aim to appease yourself. No one can bring you down and make you think your work is 'imperfect' in their eyes unless you let them. We all are imperfect as you said; so why even care if people think your work should be perfect? Just do what you can with what you got, and people will always leave their personal opinion on things.
To make this review on topic, I myself review the material in a whole on how it did on it's intended job. Was it a comedy; if so did it make me at least smile? Was it meant to be movin'; if so did I at least get in tune with it? Not everyone will, of course. It's impossible to appease to mindsets. That's why I dislike people who try to fit something of everything into their works. Only worry about what *you* want it to be, not other peoples. You want it to be funny, make it funny. If someone says it didn't have enough of something else besides funny, they missed the point you WANTED it to be funny. And quality wise, if I don't get a headache lookin' at it, damn good job on your part mate.
Disclaimer here on anything so un-needed arguments don't happen. In certain areas if I spoke out of line and sounded like I was preaching, I apologize for that was not my intentions. I was leavin' feedback in relation to your Entry. And I also apologize if I had mistaken something you said and acted like you need to do something you already do; for I do not personally know you of course. Any insults that was derived from this I apologize as well.
