SSBB Project M and Mariokart wii online! Awaiting new challengers.

Hiya

Anyone here still have Smash Bros. Brawl or Mariokart wii by any chance? You see, ever since I heard about a mod for it called Project M,I decided to install it and I also discovered that there are still online servers available for it via the Homebrew Channel. Once the HBC is installed in your sd card (perferably a 2Gb card), download and install an app called Wiimmfi in the card and activate it on your console to get on the server.

Now, the only drawback is that for it to work on Brawl, you need to delete your save data to reset your friend code... It's risky but it's worth it to play online.if you know a way to back up your save file before doing this, then great. Just follow the steps carefully to install these features and it should work properly as long as you dont downgrade or install patched updates. I take no responsibility if your wii gets f it doesn't work (aka Bricked). Again just be careful. I would strongly recommend a video tutorial through Youtube just in case.

there is also another server called altwfc but I haven't gotten it to work properly yet.

from what I have seen first hand, MarioKart wii online is either really competitive or very cheap. Brawl Project M has worked for me through wimmfi ,though with minor lag which syncs up after a few seconds during battle but the important thing is that its still functional. which is why I am issuing an open challenge to anyone out there who has it installed. For those who want to play against me online through the Wii, my friend code for ssbb is 3098-3772-0715, for Mariokart is 3527-8739-3705

I'll be honest. Never did like Project M. There is another version that you can try out for a ton of chaos called Brawl minus and it doesn't even require a hacked wii. The motto for it? Break it until it's broken, then break it some more. The characters all have some changes to their movesets strengths and weaknesses and the amount of editing you can do to stages, models, and music is astounding.

You can still brawl online via the wimmfi app in the homebrew channel. However for it to work you might have to delete your brawl data to reset the friend code. If you want to install project m or not that is up to you. Some prefer faster and tougher melee style fights online.

I have a WII and both Mario Kart WII and Super Smash Bros Brawl, but my WII is hacked, so I can't go online. Sorry.
